EAT REAL FOOD, LIVE REAL GOOD.
Hi! I’m Danny. I’m a classically trained chef living in Brooklyn, New York. I founded Dishin’ to grow the Real Food Movement through culinarily thoughtful, seasonal, local and organic weekly meals.
While I’ve spent the last 10 years living in perhaps the greatest restaurant scene in the world (and certainly enjoying every minute of it!), my tenure in NYC was mostly defined by working in sales for big social media platforms like Snapchat, TikTok & Reddit. And, though these formative years introduced me to hundreds of clients and coworkers alike, cooking, food and food systems have remained the staple of my everyday.
Before culinary school (where I’ve studied traditional French technique as well as Holistic Nutrition & Wellness cooking & diets), I committed to multi-day food prep projects in small NYC kitchens after work. I started to cook dinner parties for family and friends. I worked with mentors who spent time in San Francisco kitchens, NYC kitchens, and run food trucks in the midwest. I helped found food-systems startup, Harvestable, a marketplace that empowers rural farmers & ranchers to connect their high-quality products to bad ass and innovative restaurants.
My philosophy (and formal nutrition education) is this: we all want to live long, vibrant lives as the best versions of ourselves. To get there, we must embrace a fundamental & natural style of food consumption, through an unprocessed, holistic nutrition-based diet approach…and it doesn’t have to be a chore.
In other words…Eat Real Food, Live Real Good.
